Fans pay their tributes to Dingwall

TRIBUTES are already being made as news filters through of the death of former Dartford, Maidstone United and Bromley striker, Micky Dingwall.

Dingwall, who scored seven goals for the Darts' having signed late during their 1984-85 campaign, passed away this week, aged 49.

Ben Dingwall, has asked fans' of the Kent clubs to send in their photographs of the player, to him by email:

And Kent football fans have already paid their tributes on the www.dartfordfootballclub.co.uk website.

"I am very sorry to hear of the sad loss of Micky Dingwall," one Dartford fan wrote.  "I remember very well Micky playing for the Darts.  I thought he was a top class player and I am sure he will be sadly missed."

Another Dartford fan wrote: "I remember Micky very well with his flowing permed hair.  He was a great player - my sincere condolences.  I will have a root around and dig out some programmes."

And Stones' fan Bob Foster added: "I hope you don't mind a Stones supporters adding my sincere condolences at this sad time.  

"I can still picture Micky's flowing hair and deft skills gracing London Road.  I am sure there must be many Stones fans that still have programmes etc from his time with us and I'm sure they would gladly pass them on."
