No break for Deres skipper Tozer
AFTER sustaining an
ankle injury last Saturday, Erith & Belvedere skipper Lewis Tozer had a
precautionary X-ray, which showed no break, writes Stephen McCartney.
Deres physio Chris Davis said: "It is currently very swollen and bruised
and it will be assessed at training.
"It's difficult to say at this early stage but he will not feature until
the new year unless Santa brings him a new ankle!"
Marc Cumberbatch, however, is almost at full fitness after he
suffered a slight reaction to a training session.
Davis added: "This has slowed his rehab by a few days but hopefully nothing
more. With continued progress he should be fit for the Christmas/New Year
Southern League Division One East programme".
Goalkeeper Glen Knight, who picked up a thigh strain, should be fit for
Saturday's trip to Wingate & Finchley.
Wayne Brown, however, completed 70 minutes for the reserves last Saturday and is
now back in full training.
Ray Aboagye, who needed an operation after an injury picked up in the 1-1 draw
at Dartford in October, popped into the club a couple of weeks ago and has made
good progress. The operation has gone well and he has been given the
all-clear to return to playing football again.
Reserve team player, former Bromley youth team player, Steve Lee has been
working hard to recover from an ankle injury.
He completed a light session last week and continues his road to recovery, which
should see him playing competitive football at the beginning of next month.
Meanwhile, Frank Eagen is making good progress with a knee ligament injury and
should make a return by mid-January, reports club physio Chris Davis on the
club's website.
