Sittingbourne's Drury goes west for Gravesend
Andy Drury, Sittingbourne's outstanding young midfielder, is
having trials with Gravesend & Northfleet and has been included in the squad for
this weekend's West Country tour.
Drury, 20, who was assessed last season by Gillingham, Derby and Bournemouth,
decided to move up into the Nationwide Conference with the 'Fleet after his
Sittingbourne contract expired.
But Gravesend & Northfleet manager Andy Ford warned: "Andrew knows it is a big
step up from the Dr Martens League, Eastern Division, to the Conference so there
will be no quick decisions."
Should Drury impress and agree to join the 'Fleet they will have to fork out a
fee for the player who has rejected a new contract with the Bourne.
