Taylor switches clubs at Bourne Park
Go Travel Kent League club Maidstone United have confirmed
that Hastings United had made a seven-day approach for leading scorer Richard
Sinden.
Sinden is in a rich vein of form at the moment which has left him with eleven
goals this season and has attracted the attention of Hastings manager Steve
Lovell.
Stones’ management team of Lloyd Hume and Alan Walker have spoken to Sinden
about the offer and they are likely to hear about the striker's decision early
next week.
Meanwhile, the Stones have announced the signing of central defender Ben Taylor
from Southern League Division One East ground landlords Sittingbourne to help
alleviate the problems being suffered by the squad in that position.
The 24-year-old has significant experience and was part of Alan Walker's
championship-winning Fisher Athletic side.
Walker described him as: "A tough centre-half, who is good in the air and
very quick.
“He was unlucky not to turn professional when we had him on the youth side at
Millwall, but the then manager of the club decided not to keep him on. He's very
experienced and intelligent player on the pitch and he has the best attitude
I've seen in the game."
