Stand up and be counted

PROGRESSIVE Ryman League Premier Division club Tonbridge Angels have announced today that they have received outline plans for partially replacing the area of terracing behind the dugouts at their Longmead Stadium, writes Stephen McCartney.

The proposal is for modular covered sections of terrace measuring 6m long by 2.5m wide.

Each module will house 72 spectators and the club propose to apply for planning permission for developing this area of the stadium.

If planning permission is granted then the club will construct in stages leaving enough area to construct a 250-seat structure to satisfy league requirements.

Each module will cost £4400+VAT and the club are seeking sponsorship/funding for this venture.

The club has, already gained sponsorship for one module.

On the pitch, it has been decided that Brendon Cass will miss the next two games in order to make a full recovery from an injury sustained against Billericay Town.

Meanwhile, Steve Searle's Achilles injury will keep keep him out of Saturday's clash with Kingstonian at Longmead Stadium and next Tuesday's trip to Kent rivals Folkestone Invicta.
