Talented Hythe striker is awarded for season's efforts

STRIKER Roy Godden was the star of the show at Hythe Town's recent awards night, reports The Folkestone Herald.

Godden collected the supporters player of the year award along with the Herald Trophy for the most man of the match performances as well as being named manager Paul Fisk's player of the season and winning the Golden Boot with 15 goals to his name.

Midfielder Dan Fisk was players' player of the season.

Terry King was named reserve team player and club man of the year.  Justin Lemar collected the manager's trophy with first team player Gavin Ransley was recognised as the most improved player at the club.

Paul Fisk won the chairman's trophy while the David Clapson trophy for services to the club went to retiring bar manager Laurie Black.

That trophy, in memory of Hythe's former chairman, who passed away last year, was presented by his widow, Fiona.

Scott (Raymond) Porter received a memento from his admirers at Maidstone United, presented by former Hythe player, Michael Yianni.

Manager Fisk also received a signed team picture and his official recent award as Go Travel Kent League manager of the month award.

There were also thanks and flowers for the club's hard working ladies, Pam Fisk, Jean Vincer and Sue and Alison Giles for their effort behind the scenes at the Reachfields club.
