Kearley set to make surprise switch

DEAN KEARLEY will complete his surprise transfer from Thamesmead Town to their Go Travel Kent League neighbours Slade Green this week, writes Stephen McCartney.

The central defender was hoping to be available for selection for last Saturday's Kent League derby against VCD Athletic, however, red tape delayed the transfer.

Although Kearley approached The Small Glen outfit, Thamesmead insisted they should receive an official seven day approach to speak to the player, which Slade Green have since done.

It is a similar situation regarding Dave Martin.  The flying winger left Slade Green last March to link up with Thamesmead, but like Kearley, he has expressed his desire to leave Bayliss Avenue to return to the Green.
