Kentish Observer League side Tunbridge Wells have announced the name of their new sponsor and have tied up all of last season's playing squad, writes Stephen McCartney.

www.kentishfootball.co.uk was delighted to bring you EXCLUSIVE details of the Culverden Stadium outfit striking a sponsorship deal during the close season, but the club have only just released details of this deal.

A statement issued by the club said: "We have signed a deal with McGinley Rail, for the next three years, with annual reviews of amounts to be paid.

"It is a substantial amount and the club are grateful for this deal, and look forward to it working well.

"Other sponsorship deals are also being negotiated at present, and further news will be given in due course."

Kevin Metcalf's side return to action on Thursday, 21st July, when they entertain Grays Athletic at Culverden Stadium.

The Essex side secured promotion to the Nationwide Conference last season and clinched the FA Trophy.

AFC Totton - the side that knocked Tunbridge Wells out of last season's FA Cup - are the visitors two days later (3pm).

Metcalf revealed he will cast his eye over Kent representative goalkeeper James Coleman, as his highly-rated stopper, Matt Bromby looks likely to miss the start of the league season due to his knee injury, and is being sent to see a specialist.

Coleman played for the Wells in a league game at Sevenoaks Town last August before moving up the road to play for the reserve side at Tonbridge Angels.

And midfielder Aaron O'Leary, striker Dave Hassett and Buster Beaney have over the weekend all signed to stay at the club.

"It's very important that everyone has signed from last year," Metcalf told www.kentishfootball.co.uk EXCLUSIVELY tonight.

"I know clubs from a higher level were after Dave and Aaron, so again it was important that everyone signed to keep the continuity going.

"It proves everyone wants to stay. The club is going in the right direction and we've got a couple of trialists to look at in our first two matches."
