Ryman League Premier Division strugglers Harrow Borough progressed into the third round of the Ryman League Cup competition, sponsored by Bryco, with a 2-0 victory over Bromley at Earlsmead on Tuesday.

Pressure mounts on Bromley boss Eddie Saunders and his players to win at Whyteleafe on Saturday as his side return to Ryman League Division One South action.

Blonde haired Simon Underwood's header went narrowly wide of Bromley's left upright before goalkeeper Danny Harwood denied Ross Fitzsimon and Underwood in a bright opening for the home side.

Harrow's flamboyant goalkeeper Keita Karamoko saved David Smith's effort on goal before the home side took an eighteenth minute lead.

Referee Paul Forrester waved play on in Borough's half and the home side sent left winger Robert Charles on a run. His low centre was touched into Fitzsimon's path who, unmarked,  fired low into the bottom left hand corner of the Ravens
net.

Six minutes later, a mistake by the home side gifted Bobby George a chance and facing Karamoko on a one-on-one, George lost his composure and fired high over the crossbar.

The same situation happened at the other end but Underwood, who brushed aside the defence, drilled his shot narrowly wide of the right upright.

Just after the half hour mark, Harwood saved from Borough's big centre back Richard Goddard's downward header following Fitzsimon's flag kick.

The home side wrapped up victory on the stroke of half time when Clemente Lopez was given time to pick his spot into the bottom left hand corner from just outside the penalty area.

Both goalkeeper's were forced into making early second half saves.  Karamoko's flying save denied Michael Harney a goal from a 35 yard free kick before Harwood saved Charles' low shot on goal.

Just before the hour, Steve Potterill drilled a low shot into the goalkeepers arms before Borough substitute Abdulai Yoki beat the Bromley offside trap to reach the by-line before firing his low shot into the side netting.

The same player then struck the foot of the left upright but the offside flag was raised.

Paul Kember and George both headed wide following free kick's from Jason McKoy and Harney before Bromley missed a golden chance with nine minutes remaining when George lashed a shot high over the crossbar after young substitute Nigel
Pearce was denied in the area.

Bromley's next home game is on Tuesday 25 November (7.45pm) against Croydon Athletic, at the Clive Christian Stadium, Hayes Lane
