FA determined to complete FA Trophy and FA Vase competitions this season
CORINTHIAN have been given a massive boost today when The Football Association has told clubs competing in the Semi-Finals of The FA Vase and The FA Trophy that they are determined to complete both competitions.
Michael Golding’s side were due to play Northern Leaguers Hebburn Town in The Buildbase FA Vase Semi-Final First Leg at Gay Dawn Farm today, before playing the make-or-break away leg in the North East seven days later.
However, all football has been suspended due to the crippling Coronavirus outbreak.
Northern League club Consett, who knocked Deal Town out in the Last 16 with a 2-0 win at the Belle View Stadium on 8 February, and were due to face a two-legged Semi-Final tie against Bitton, have revealed some good news on their Twitter account this lunchtime.
“What a great day it would have been for the club but the good news is The FA have told us they are determined to complete The FA Vase and The FA Trophy this season.
“Once we have any news we will let everyone know,” said the club.
