Kent FA Statement: At this moment in time, there will be no change to discipline, no fines reimbursed and no suspensions voided

The Kent Football Association has confirmed that it will not return fines to clubs – despite the 2019-20 campaign being declared null and void and records expunged by The Football Association.

Clubs up and down the country demanded that their fines should be repaid to them, now that their campaign’s have been thrown into the dustbin by The Football Association.

“At this moment in time, there will be no change to discipline, no fines reimbursed and no suspensions voided,” said the statement.

Meanwhile, the Kent FA confirmed that if a player has one match of a three-match suspension that was due to finish on the last game of the season, “the suspensions will still be in place into the new season.”

All football clubs are currently banned from taking part in training sessions, ahead of the new season, as well as staging summer tournaments, such as the one that Rusthall, for example, stage at Jockey Farm Stadium every summer.

“This will be decided by The FA on advice from the Government. As it stands, there is still a suspension on all grassroots football, including training.”

The Kent FA have currently postponed all of their remaining Cup Finals but added: “We are hoping that Kent FA’s County Cup Finals will be held at a later date.”

However, The Kent FA has issued some guidance for clubs on how they can gain funding from the Government during this lockdown period.
