Kirk Pritchard: I want to start the AFC Autism group to help clubs better understand how they can be more inclusive of people with autism and a place for autistic people to share their love of the game
GLEBE photographer Kirk Pritchard has set up a group for autistic football fans to get more involved in the game.
The AFC Wimbledon supporter lives in Orpington and is autistic. He is the matchday photographer at the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division club, managed by former Millwall footballer Gary Alexander.
“I have been following AFC Wimbledon since 2005 and become more involved in the club over the years to becoming its official photographer for documenting the new stadium build,” said Pritchard, who has set up afc_autism on social media.
“I love photography and split my style between Lego figurines and documenting protests of important movements.
“I am also the match photographer for my local football club, Glebe FC.
“I love football as much as I love photography and want more autistic people to be able to enjoy it as much as I do.
“I want to start the AFC Autism group to help clubs better understand how they can be more inclusive of people with autism and a place for autistic people to share their love of the game and in a safe and understanding space.”
