Ahwan sets himself twenty-goal target

Sunday 22nd July 2007

Errison Ahwan has set his sights on being a goal-machine for Maidstone United this season, after netting his second goal in as many pre-season games at Kent League side Erith & Belvedere yesterday.

Former Beckenham Town defender, Ahwan, 27, scored eleven goals for the Stones last season during their Ryman League Division One South title winning campaign.

And after scoring in the 2-0 win at Park View Road yesterday, following his 30-yard screamer that sealed a fine 1-0 win at Blue Square Southern outfit Thurrock in midweek, Ahwan has set himself a target of 20 goals.

“I just want to keep scoring as there is a lot of competition now,” Ahwan told www.maidstoneunited.co.uk.

“Last year I managed to get a few winners and I just hope that I can get a lot more this year.

“I have set myself a target of fifteen goals this season and in fact the way things are going now, I am going to raise that to twenty!”
