All I want to do is beat Ramsgate, insists Takaloo
MARGATE striker Mo Takaloo has added to the passion that comes with a Thanet derby, as he bids to score the goals that keeps his former club in the drop zone.
Both Thanet sides are normally challenging in and around the play-off’s but this season hasn’t been the best for both sides and only Harlow Town separate them at the wrong end of the table.
Ramsgate, with only one league win at home all season, only have Hendon and Heybridge Swifts below them in the Ryman Premier League table and Margate, in 18th place, are one place and one point above Harlow Town.
But Takaloo, speaking to www.margate-fc.com is desperate to pile on the misery for his former club.
“I’ve been looking forward to that all season - well ever since I left them,” he said.
“I can’t wait to play that game. It’s a big game for me but then again it’s another game for the club anyway.
“All I want to do is get the three points as much as everyone else at Margate Football Club - it’s a must win and I for one have to win that game.”
Margate manager Terry Yorath has experienced many big games during his career and he is looking forward to his first clash - as manager - against Jim Ward’s Rams.
“Well, I know how much it means for the fans here and even the Margate based players,” Yorath told www.margate-fc.com. “But it’s another game; three points (at stake).
“It’s been a long time since one of Jim Ward’s sides have struggled in the league. Ramsgate have been enduring a torrid season, particularly at Southwood, recording just one win two weeks ago.”
