We can push this campaign on with hard work, says Ashford United coach Shaun Holland
SHAUN HOLLAND says there’s no pressure on his Ashford United side ahead of their trip to Eastbourne Town.
The Nuts & Bolts travel down to the East Sussex coast to play in The Buildbase FA Vase Second Round, sitting two points clear of Crowborough Athletic in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table.
Eastbourne Town are tenth-place in the Southern Combination Premier Division table, having won six, drawn three and lost six of their league games this season.
“Tomorrow is just another game of football for us all,” said coach Holland.
“There is absolutely no pressure on us at all. Our training and preparation to any game is as professional as it could be.
“We don’t take anything for granted and the boys know they have to work hard to get anything at this level.
“Everyone is looking forward to the trip to Eastbourne and hopefully with the team spirit and the hard work put in by everyone involved with the club, we can push this campaign on.”
Meanwhile, the club has confirmed Charlie Dickens has left the club to sign for Ryman Premier League side Harlow Town.
“I have enjoyed every single moment at Ashford United and I have progressed so much as a player,” Dickens told the club website.
“I am ready for a new challenge and I couldn’t turn it down.”
