Ashford begin search for new youth coach

RYMAN LEAGUE Division One South club Ashford Town are looking for someone to manage their under 15s, writes Stephen McCartney.

The ambitious club are looking for a person that holds the FA Coach Level 2 or 3 qualification and with experience running youth sides from the age of 12.

Phil Gore, Ashford Town’s youth secretary, speaking to www.ashfordtownfc.co.uk, explained what is needed.

“We need a manager to organise the squad, take training sessions and be assisted with a coach and assemble a squad to compete in the Kent Youth League,” he said.

“We need a manager who can give their time to develop the team to a high standard, which will put them on course to step up to the under 16’ and 17’s in our club for the following season’s.

“The club’s prime objective is to offer football to all those who wish to play, and who are committed to improve their skills, to make them better and to enjoy their football.”

Training sessions are held for a two-hour period from 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and the team will play either at 11am or 2pm every Sunday.
