Sunday 22nd June 2008

LEE EALHAM has agreed to re-join Ashford Town as the new manager of their under 18 side.

The ex-Gillingham professional, who retired from playing last season whilst with Kent League side Tunbridge Wells, will take over the youngsters.

Joint owner Don Crosbie, speaking to www.ashfordtownfc.co.uk, was delighted to welcome Ealham back to the club, and his main objective is to progress players into the reserve team set-up.

“It’s great to have him back,” said Mr Crosbie.

“Lee knows the game inside out and will be able to bring on the young players here at Ashford.

“The club as a whole is really beginning to take shape now, with Steve Lovell running the first team, Ernie Batten in charge of the reserves and now Lee with us we have great coaches right the way through the club.

“The youth set up is extremely important to us and we will keep looking to improve it.”
