Gillingham defender Barry Fuller takes charge of Ashford United's under 18 side

GILLINGHAM right-back Barry Fuller will be managing Ashford United’s under 18 side next season.

“The Isthmian League is a very competitive league and Ashford United are proud to have Barry Fuller as their manager and head coach,” said a club statement.

“Barry will be working closely and in association with Tommy Warrilow, our first-team manager, who will assist and look to Barry and his staff to bring Ashford boys through to play for our senior team.

“As everyone is aware the current lockdown and uncertainty has caused havoc with our footballing programme but health and protection of the vulnerable and at risk must be everyone’s priority.”

The side’s first training session takes place next Monday 6 July at 19:00.
