Bromley chairman Jerry Dolke pays tribute to ambassador Ugo Udoji who joins Tonbridge Angels on season long loan

Sunday 17th July 2016

BROMLEY have sent defender Ugo Udoji to Tonbridge Angels on loan for the rest of this season.

The 27-year-old has one year left on his deal at Hayes Lane and has joined the Ryman Premier League club for the remainder of his contract.

The right-back was part of Mark Goldberg’s Vanarama Conference South title winning team in 2015 – the clubs first title in 54 years.

Bromley chairman Jerry Dolke told www.bromleyfc.tv/site: “I would like to thank Ugo Udoji personally for his professionalism during his time at Bromley Football Club.  He has acted as an ambassador for this football club both on and off the field and I sincerely wish him all the very best at Tonbridge Angels. As a championship winner he will also be welcome back at Hayes Lane.

Udoji also won the Conference South title with Salisbury City.

Tonbridge Angels boss Steve McKimm told www.tonbridgeangelsonline.co.uk: “Ugo is a player who was on our radar last season.  He is a full-back who will compliment the quality we already have.”

Tonbridge Angels were on their annual tour of Newcastle this weekend and held both Bedlington Terriers and Blyth Spartans to two 1-1 draws.

Bromley, meanwhile, lost 2-1 to Millwall at Hayes Lane yesterday as manager Neil Smith prepares for the club's second season in the Vanarama National League.
