Bullard returns to Stonebridge Road
EBBSFLEET UNITED welcome Jimmy Bullard back to Stonebridge Road tonight as the Fulham midfielder returns to the club that sent him on the road to professional success.
Bullard was signed by former Fleet boss Andy Ford back in August 1998 and played 30 times for the Fleet, but within a year had moved to West Ham United for a fee of £30,000.
The former Dartford player later played for Peterborough United and Wigan Athletic before signing for Fulham for £2.5million in May 2006.
Bullard, 29, has recently been involved with Fabio Capello’s England squad, but as he is not required for this week’s World Cup qualifying games against Kazakhstan and Belarus, he is able to be the Fleet’s special guest for the Blue Square Premier game against Histon tonight.
