Burman thrashes out deal for Kadi
Dartford boss Tony Burman has added Junior Kadi to his squad, ahead of tomorrow’s Princes Park showdown with AFC Sudbury.
But Burman’s attempts to tie former Welling United star Matt Bodkin to a longer deal, has fallen through.
“This week I tried to extend the loan deal for Matt Bodkin until Christmas, a deal that Matt and I wanted, but his club Grays Athletic wanted him to go to Thurrock, so we did not have any choice in the matter,” Burman explained to www.dartfordfc.co.uk.
He added: “I would like to thank Matt for his help and wish him all the best in the future.
But having impressed at Princes Park during a brief stint in pre-season, Burman has signed star midfielder Junior Kadi, whose previous clubs include Erith Town and Beckenham Town, on a dual-registration with Bromley.
“After having a couple of pre-season games for us, Junior, although very impressed with our set-up, wanted to play at the highest level,” said Burman.
“Unfortunately he got injured in his first week back at Bromley, and with the team doing so well, he has been sitting on the bench.
“I don’t want to go too much into the deal at this stage, but Junior will be on a dual-registration with us and Bromley.
“As I said last week, sometimes you have to keep chipping away at the block to get what you want.
“Without doubt Junior is an excellent addition to the squad, and a player that I rate very highly.”
