Canterbury City make a "welcome return" to football pyramid

Canterbury City have tonight been welcomed into the British Energy Kent County League next season, writes Stephen McCartney.

The re-born club have been admitted into Division Two East - and the club are delighted.

A statement issued on their website www.canterburycityfc.com said: “Canterbury City’s plans received a huge boost this evening as our application to join the British Energy Kent County League was approved at the League’s AGM.

“Tonight’s result marks a welcome return to the football pyramid and is a fantastic boost to all concerned with the club.”
