CHAMPIONS: Dover Athletic's heroes get their hands of silverware

Monday 14th April 2008

DOVER ATHLETIC, the champions of Ryman League Division One South, will get their hands on the league trophy this Saturday, immediately after their home game against Kent rivals Sittingbourne.

After nine months of hard work and winning performances, Andy Hessenthaler's team will be ceremonially crowned champions by Ryman League officials on the pitch at SeaFrance Crabble.

Fans have been told not to miss out on what will be a day to remember from start to finish, celebrating Whites’ first league title in fifteen years.

Dover Athletic skipper John Keister and his team-mates will lift the long-awaited silverware and the celebrations will continue on Saturday night, at the all-ticket presentation evening, at the Ramada Hotel in Whitfield.

Fans can enjoy a three-course meal, along with some drinks, with Hessenthaler’s team at the end-of-season party at 7:30pm.

A disco has been planned to follow the player-of-the-season awards to allow everyone to dance the night away - or just chat and reflect on what has been a champion season for the Kent giants.

Tickets are priced at £25 each.

You can purchase tickets from the following places:
- The club shop
- A Gomez Ltd, Bridge, Canterbury

You can also purchase tickets from Paul and Debbie Harrison on matchdays or call 07771 846766.
