MP Tracey Crouch meets Chatham Town chairman Kevin Hake to help secure the long-term future of the club

CHATHAM TOWN have met with their local MP’s to help secure the long-term future of the club.

Tracey Crouch, the Conservative MP for Chatham and Aylesford, met with club chairman Kevin Hake today, praising the promotion-chasing Sea Pioneer Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division club for their work in the community.

“Good meeting with Chatham Town chairman Kevin Hake and Cllr Vince Maple (Labour), regarding the great work they are doing in the community,” said Crouch.

“It’s growing team list and supporter base and how we can help secure the long-term future of one of football’s oldest clubs.”

A club statement added: “Big thank you to both Tracey Crouch and Vince Maple who came to the club today and are working with us to both develop and secure the long-term future of our club.”

Scott Lindsey’s side are at home to fellow promotion rivals Tunbridge Wells at Maidstone Road tomorrow, the game going ahead at 15:00 due to the club installing an artificial 3G pitch in the summer.

Chatham Town thrashed Erith & Belvedere 8-1 at Park View Road on Tuesday night.
