Monday 16th May 2011
CHATHAM TOWN’s board of directors have appointed Kevin Watson as manager for next season.Watson took the reigns for the final three games of last season after Paul Foley parted company with the club.
Chatham picked up two wins and a draw, but they still finished the season inside the bottom two of the Ryman League Division One South table, two points adrift of safety.
“Following a brilliant end to the season Kevin has accepted the role and looks forward to the coming season,” said a statement published on the club’s official website www.chathamtownfc.net last Thursday.
“His first job will be to encourage a strong relationship with reserve team manager Andy Bennamin and restore focus on bringing players up through the club.”
Watson will be presenting awards at the club’s presentation night at the club’s base at Maidstone Road on Friday 20 May, starting at 7.30pm.
There is an open invite to both club and non club members and tickers are available on the door priced at £5 (adults) and £3 (under 17),
