Crewe Alexandra reduce ticket prices for Fleet's visit

CREWE ALEXANDRA have reduced admission prices for Saturday’s FA Cup First Round proper tie against Kent heroes Ebbsfleet United, writes Stephen McCartney.

Although both sides go into the Gresty Road showdown with poor form, this will be The Fleet’s first appearance at this stage of the competition for five years.

Liam Daish’s men needed a replay to knock out fellow Blue Square Premier side Woking in the fourth qualifying round.

Woking had raced into a 2-0 lead at Kingfield Stadium in the first game with just nine minutes on the clock, but two penalties from Gravesend lad, Luke Moore, in the second half, earned a replay at Stonebridge Road.

And a stunning strike from Kezie Ibe was enough to win that game for The Fleet, scoring the only goal of a flat game after nineteen minutes.

But the Fleet, who travel to Eastbourne Borough for a Setanta Shield third round tie on Tuesday night, haven’t won in five Blue Square Premier games.

But the same could be said for Crewe Alexandra, who welcome Stockport County in the Cheshire Premier Cup on Tuesday night, as they’ve now gone eleven games without a win.

Despite going down to a 3-2 defeat at Huddersfield Town yesterday, they climbed off the foot of the Coca-Cola League One table, as Hereford United, who are now bottom, lost 2-0 at Peterborough United.

Crewe Alexandra have reduced their admission prices for Saturday’s FA Cup tie (3pm), matching The Fleet’s main admission charges at Stonebridge Road.

Adults: £13
Senior Citizens: £7
12-16 Years: £6
Under 11s: £3

If required, the replay will take place at Stonebridge Road on Tuesday, 18^th November (7:45pm).
