Steve Ives leaves Crowborough Athletic to be named joint-manager at AFC Uckfield Town
STEVE IVES has left Crowborough Athletic and has been named as the newly-appointed joint-manager at AFC Uckfield Town.
Crowborough Athletic were second-from-bottom in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table with 23 points from 28 games before the season was declared null and void owing to the coronavirus outbreak.
Sean Muggeridge’s side were three points clear of basement side Erith & Belvedere in the table, with eight league games scheduled but these were never played.
AFC Uckfield Town were sitting in eighth-place in the Southern Combination Premier Division table at the time of the football shut down.
“After an exhaustive search, the AFC Uckfield Town committee are delighted to announce Graeme Mintrim and Steve Ives as our new joint first-team managers,” said a club statement.
“Graeme and Steve bring a wealth of experience from previous roles and look forward to getting started.
“Joining the management as assistant manager is highly-rated coach Dom Crowhurst, who has been successful in bringing through young talent at Eastbourne Town and will be a popular addition, fitting in with Graeme and Steve’s footballing philosophies.”
Eastbourne-based Ives was Muggeridge's assistant manager at Crowborough Athletic.
