Daish: I'll have no sleepless nights if we go down
Friday 16th April 2010
EBBSFLEET UNITED manager Liam Daish has insisted his conscience will be clear even if his side are relegated.
If the Fleet fail to beat Gateshead on Saturday then their eight-year stay in the conference will be over.
"If it happens I can look at myself in the mirror and say I've done as much as I can for this football club in the time that I've been here," Daish told BBC Radio Kent.
"I'll have no sleepless nights as I've done the best I can do.”
Daish still believes they can survive in the Blue Square Premier if they win their final two games against Gateshead and Tamworth.
"A few clubs have got difficult fixtures - Eastbourne have got to entertain Oxford and Gateshead have got Stevenage next week," he said.
"You just want to keep things going but to do that we've got to win the game.
"We've had belief all year. It's worn a bit thin sometimes but on Saturday we'll have 16 players who will believe they're going to get that result that will prolong the season and take it to the last day."
