Dartford put FA Trophy tie back 24 hours to beat Big Freeze

Monday 06th February 2012
DARTFORD'S FA Carlsberg Trophy Third Round home tie against Wealdstone, which was postponed on Saturday due to a frozen pitch, has been put back 24 hours to Wednesday evening, 8 February.

A club statement said: “Further to today’s inspection, confirmation has been received from the club secretary, Mr Peter Martin, that he has spoken with Wealdstone and both clubs are in agreement to move the game to Wednesday.”

A pitch inspection has been organised for Wednesday lunch time to see if the game at Princes Park goes ahead.

The winners will travel to either Cambridge United (Conference Premier) or Guiseley (Conference North) in the quarter-finals, scheduled for 25 February.

But Cambridge United’s tie against Guiseley will now have to take place on 14 February, due to two postponements owing to the freezing conditions.
