Mark Williams brings to the Ryman Premier League club extensive legal experience as a result of seventeen years working in the law with leading law firm Vizards Wyeth Solicitors.
Mr Williams specialises in commercial contracts, corporate transactions, intellectual property and data protection at the firm, based in the Thames Gateway and the City of London.
Mr Williams is based in the Crossways Business Park, adjacent to the Dartford Crossing, and is very aware of the changing structure of the surrounding area and is delighted to have been appointed to the board at Princes Park Stadium.
“Having worked in Dartford, in both the town centre and latterly Crossways Business Park, I have seen the area change quite markedly,” Mr Williams told www.dartfordfc.co.uk.
“It is pleasing to see one of those changes being the football club re-establishing its roots in the community.
“I look forward to assisting its development off the field as much as it has improved on the field in recent years.”
Bill Archer, the club’s co-chairman, says Mr Williams’ involvement can only be beneficial to the club, one that has sold players Dave Martin (Crystal Palace, now playing for Millwall) and Cody McDonald (Norwich City) to Football League clubs.
“The football club has made great strides in recent years,” Mr Archer added. “On the field the club was promoted last year, is challenging for promotion this year, and has sold two players to Football League clubs over the last three seasons, which is testament to the calibre of coaching staff and the profile that the club now enjoys.
“Off the field, the stadium is now the responsibility of the club and commercial opportunities are being explored daily.
“With all these aspects, the involvement of the club with the Law is becoming greater and greater.
“I am therefore very pleased to have been able to secure Mark’s legal and commercial knowledge for the benefit of the club.”
