Davidson breaks leg during Kent Senior Trophy tie

DEAL TOWN defender Josh Davidson suffered a badly broken leg yesterday, forcing the Kent Senior Trophy quarter-final tie against Sevenoaks Town to be abandoned, writes Stephen McCartney.
The incident happened after about 35 minutes, and the game was held up for around an hour, with Davidson receiving further lengthy treatment in the ambulance, before being taken to Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother hospital in nearby Margate.
A Deal Town spokesman said Davidson will undergo and operation today.
Sevenoaks Town chairman Tony Smart has contacted Deal counterpart Dave Reid on behalf of the club to wish the player a speedy recovery.
The match will be re-played at Deal Town next Saturday.
