Macauley Murray will improve us as a club, says Deal Town assistant manager Steve King
DEAL TOWN have unveiled the signing of midfielder Macauley Murray.
Murray, 24, featured for the club at the end of last season after returning from traveling and despite offers from Isthmian League South East Division club’s he has committed to the club.
Murray has previously played for Ramsgate, Faversham Town and Whitstable Town and was a key member for the Oysterman promotion winning side in 2018.
“We are delighted to welcome Macca to the club,” assistant manager Steve King (not to be confused with the former Welling United manager) told www.dealtownfc.co.uk.
“He is someone that I think very highly of and we have no doubt he will improve us as a club.
“He showed in glimpses what he was capable off when featuring in our last couple of games last season and with a full pre-season under his belt he will be a key member of the side this year as we look to push on again this season.
“It is also very pleasing to add another quality local player to the squad, who is at the age where he should only continue to get better.”
Deal Town welcome Vanarama National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town to the Charles Sports Ground on Saturday 6 July (14:30).
Sammy Moore left Concord Rangers to take charge of Hemel Hempstead Town this season.
