Descision time looms for Sevenoaks Town boss Simon Jones

Thursday 26th July 2012
SEVENOAKS TOWN boss Simon Jones has praised his players for making life difficult for him as he continues to plan for the new Kent League campaign, which starts at Erith Town on 4 August.

He had a starting eleven in mind a few days ago, but admitted that might have changed after a couple of performances in the second half against Chatham Town on Tuesday night.

Jones told www.sevenoakstownfc.org: “Two boys who were involved for the first time came on and looked pretty special, and I was pretty impressed with them.

“Whether we can hang on to them in the long-term is another question, because they are very good footballers. If we can do it gives me another problem."

He added: "The boys have seen the numbers reduced and suddenly bonded as a really strong group who are working hard for each other.

“The last four or five decisions I have got to be make are going to be hard. That is a real credit to the boys, because they are making it harder and harder every game.

“I will talk to a couple at training tonight and then we have got the game against Herne Bay on Saturday, which will be a watershed I would think."
