Dover Athletic begin search for new sponsors

DOVER ATHLETIC have been informed that SeaFrance will not be able to renew their sponsorship this coming season.

SeaFrance managing director Robin Wilkins told www.doverathletic.com:  "We've been delighted to support the club and to follow their fortunes this season.

"It was good to be part of Dover Athletic's fantastic success.

"Sadly, current economic conditions have created the need for cutbacks in expenditure, and regrettably this is one of the projects that SeaFrance will not be able to carry forward into the new season."

Whites chairman Jim Parmenter said: "This has come as a bit of a shock, as early indications were that SeaFrance would be working with us again next season, however, it is understandable, in light of the current climate, that something would have to give.

"We have had several enquiries about main sponsorship over the past few weeks, which we will now pursue, however if any of our supporters have contacts who would be interested in getting involved they should definitely call us."

Meanwhile, the club have decided to play there midweek games on Tuesday night’s next season after a season experimenting with Monday's.
