We're looking forward to a tough encounter at Tonbridge, says Dulwich Hamlet boss Gavin Rose
DULWICH HAMLET boss Gavin Rose expects an entertaining game at Tonbridge Angels tomorrow.
The Hamlet sit proudly at the top of the Ryman Premier League table going into the New Year with 49 points from 26 games.
Rose’s side are level on points with Hampton & Richmond Borough, who have a game in hand, while Steve McKimm’s Angels are in fourth-place in the table on 46 points from 24 games.
A crowd of over 1,000 fans are expected at Longmead Stadium tomorrow to watch two attack minded sides lock horns with each other.
“Looking forward to a tough encounter with Tonbridge,” said Rose.
“Steve and Barry (Moore) have done an excellent job in the past 18 months and really revived the club so deserve a lot of credit and respect.
“We always play to win and will be no different in our approach, so it should make for an entertaining game.”
Tonbridge Angels boss McKimm, meanwhile, has been rewarded in recent days with a new 18-month contract and shares respect for Rose and his assistant Junior Kadi for the excellent job they are doing in south east London.
“I’m looking forward to a good game against an excellent footballing side,” said McKimm.
“Gavin and Junior have always played the right way and got rewards for an outstanding job.
“I hope 2016 is better for the club than 2015 was.”
