Dulwich Hamlet fans' can ask the experts on fan ownership

DULWICH HAMLET are offering fans’ the chance to ask questions to six experts who specialise in fan ownership.The Dulwich Hamlet Supporters Trust Board consider it vital that the various options for fan ownership are understood and discussed by as many supporters as possible.
The event takes place in the bar at Champion Hill Stadium this coming Thursday, 15 January, between 19:30-21:30.
This event gives fans’ a chance to hear the views of an expert panel on issues such as:
- the merits of various ownership options;
- the road to fan ownership; and
- the practicalities of running a community football club
A range of experts have been invited to share their knowledge and experience on the night to answer fans’ questions.
The experts include James Mathie (Club Development, Supporters Direct); Paul Millington (vice-chair, Enfield Town FC); Dan York (club secretary, Fisher FC); Jo Collins (legal advisor and assistant secretary, Portsmouth Supporters Trust); David Growns (vice-chair, AFC Wimbledon Trust) and Nigel Higgs (former youth and community director, AFC Wimbledon and current board member, AFC Wimbledon Trust).
Duncan Hart, a board member of the Dulwich Hamlet Supporters Trust, said: “DHST believes it is vital that all parties have the opportunity to participate in these important discussions on the sustainable future of our club.
“As well as the supporters, we have invited our manager, Gavin Rose, representatives of (club owners) Hadley Property Group and the football committee.
“The bar will be open on the night and there will be a raffle. This will include two pairs of free tickets and boardroom hospitality for the final match of the season against Maidstone United, which DHST is sponsoring.”
He added: “We are delighted to have a tremendous panel of experts at Dulwich Hamlet on Thursday.
“We hope many Dulwich fans take this fantastic opportunity to learn about fan ownership.
“Fans of other clubs are of course welcome as well. They may even win tickets in the boardroom for our last home game of the season!”
On the pitch, Dulwich Hamlet remain in third-place in the Ryman Premier League table, with 55 points from 27 games.
Maidstone United leapfrogged over Margate to the summit at the weekend following their 2-1 win at Canvey Island.
The Stones lead with 59 points from 26 games, level on points with Margate, who have played two games more.
Dulwich Hamlet can close the gap with three points over eighth-placed Leiston at Champion Hill on Tuesday night.
Manager Gavin Rose told the club’s website: “Fairly pleased with the progress so far, especially having reshaped the squad this season.
“We are a work in progress, but have remained competitive in the meantime.”
