Eastbourne is a difficult place to go and get a result, warns Dartford boss Tony Burman

DARTFORD manager Tony Burman says he is preparing for a difficult FA Carlsberg Trophy tie at Eastbourne Borough tomorrow, writes Stephen McCartney. The Darts reached the last sixteen of the competition last season when they were defeated 3-0 at Conference Premier side Gateshead last February.
Looking ahead to tomorrow’s Third Qualifying Round tie, away to their Blue Square Bet South rivals, who sit in fourteenth place, Burman said: “In the Cup games you’d like to be drawn at home but we’ve been drawn away and I think it will be a difficult game, that’s for sure.
“We played them at home (in the league), won the game 2-1 I think it was and they’ve picked up since then.
“I know they’ve had a few injury problems of late, they haven’t had the right results. It will be a difficult place to go and get a result, hopefully we can do so.
“The cup competitions you want to try and better what you’ve done. Whether we can do that or not I don’t know, hopefully we can. We just have to see what happens.
“We’re looking forward to the game that’s for sure and hopefully we can get a result.”
The Darts were knocked out of The FA Cup by league rivals Bromley in the Fourth Qualifying Round this season and Burman wants another extended run in The FA Carlsberg Trophy.
He said: “We’re not in the FA Cup anymore and we didn’t have untold games in the FA Cup and we now concentrate on the Trophy. There’s money involved as well and hopefully we can get a decent result.”
