Erith Town appoint James Day to lead their newly-formed under 23 side
ERITH TOWN have appointed James Day as manager of their newly-formed under 23 side.
A statement from the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division club, managed at first-team level by Adam Woodward, said: “Jim was club captain for the Dockers, playing in midfield for two season between 2017-2019.
“This is Jim’s first step into management after playing for Welling Town in recent seasons.
“The under 23’s side is a new addition to the club and will also help the progression of our new post-16 Academy players.
“The club now has a clear developmental pathway from the youth section to the first team.”
Day will be assisted by James Thompson while the side will be coached by Mark Cooke, John Mitchell, Serkan Ali-Osman and WIll Johnson.
