FA Carlsberg Trophy First Round Draw

Monday 24th November 2008

The draw for the first round proper of the FA Carlsberg Trophy was made at Soho Square this morning.

Holders Ebbsfleet United travel to Blue Square South basement boys, Bognor Regis Town, as they bid to keep hold of the silverware that they clinched with a 1-0 win over Torquay United at Wembley Stadium in May.

The Rocks knocked Ramsgate out in the last round with a 2-0 win at Southwood Stadium on Saturday.

If Welling United win their replay at AFC Totton tomorrow night (after drawing 1-1 at Park View Road on Saturday), Andy Ford’s men will welcome Blue Square Premier side Weymouth to Park View Road.

Dartford, the lowest ranked Kent side left in the competition, will travel to Blue Square Premier side Stevenage Borough, if they beat St Albans City in Tuesday night’s replay at Princes Park.

Tony Burman's side came away from the Blue Square South side with a goal-less draw on Saturday and www.kentishfootball.co.uk will be covering the replay.

First Round ties take place on Saturday, 13th December 2008.
