FA Carlsberg Vase: Third Round Draw

Monday 16th November 2009
FAVERSHAM TOWN and Beckenham Town – the last two Kent survivors in this season’s FA Carlsberg Vase – must travel in the third round of the competition – if they win their outstanding second round ties tomorrow night, writes Stephen McCartney.

Both clubs had their original matches postponed due to waterlogged pitches at the weekend, and will be hoping for better conditions tomorrow night to
progress into the last 64.

Bulmers Cider Kent League leaders Faversham, who travel to Farnborough to tackle Badshot Lea tomorrow, will travel to Bedfordshire to play Stotfold, a side in the top eight of the United Counties League.

And Beckenham Town, who will be hoping that the Hellenic League doesn’t complete a treble over Kent League sides when they welcome Carterton to Eden Park Avenue tomorrow night, will travel to ninth-placed Essex Senior League side Tiptree United in the third round.

Hellenic League sides Witney United and Flackwell Heath had ended Erith & Belvedere and Herne Bay’s FA Vase campaign at the weekend.

Third round ties take place on Saturday, 5th December 2009.
