Faversham Town boss James Collins retains right-back Donvieve Jones
FAVERSHAM TOWN manager James Collins has retained the services of right-back Donvieve Jones.
Jones has made over 50 appearances for the Isthmian League South East Division club.
“Of course, I’m delighted Donvieve has committed to stay with the club again for the forthcoming season,” said Collins, who has also retained the services of captain Harry Harding and snapped up former Gillingham striker Roman Campbell.
“He is one of the only players still to remain since Danny Chapman and Phil Miles’ reign and he has been the most consistent player during my reign.
“I wouldn’t swap him for any other right-back in the league. I think he is getting better with every game.
“He is a great one-on-one defender, which is essential with the way I set my teams up.
“For someone of such a young age, he is a big influence in the changing room and has an infectious personality.
“If he applies himself correctly, I’m sure he will go on to play at a much higher level – hopefully with Faversham Town FC.”
Jones also told the club website: “I’m excited for the new season. Last year is gone now, it is time for us to reset and re-focus and work hard towards our goals.”
