The boys are buzzing and feel they can go out there and beat Glebe, says Fisher boss Ajay Ashanike

FISHER manager Ajay Ashanike says his side are buzzing ahead of tomorrow’s FA Vase tie against Glebe.

The two sides met in Chislehurst in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division on Tuesday night with the game finishing all-square at 1-1.

The result extended Ashanike’s unbeaten run to six games in all competitions, since taking over from Allan Fenn on Wednesday 2 October 2019.

Fisher go into tomorrow’s FA Vase Second Round tie sitting in the bottom five, having collected 11 points from their 13 league outings, while former Millwall ace Gary Alexander has now been in charge of Glebe for 11 games in all competitions.

Glebe arrive at St Paul’s Stadium sitting in sixth-place in the table with 20 points from their 11 games.

“The draw against Glebe was really good for the club,” said Ashanike.

“Over the 90 minutes the boys worked really hard and they deserved the point to be honest.

“Before the game we’ve been on a good run and the boys wanted to carry on the run.

“The squad that Glebe has is unreal and to match them in every department shows how far we have come from the start of the season.

“Going into The FA Vase, the boys are buzzing and feel they can go out there and beat Glebe.

“The boys are playing with a lot of freedom and working hard for each other. The changing room is at a different level and I’m happy they are all enjoying their football.

“All I can ask the boys to do is work hard and out-work Glebe and I’m sure they will get the win.”
