FISHER manager Ajay Ashanike says he is anticipating an end-to-end game of football against in-form Crowborough Athletic tomorrow.

Ashanike admits his side are under-performing as they go into the game sitting in fourteenth-place in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table with 20 points from as many games and require another 10 points to maintain their league status.

Sean Muggeridge’s side have won their last seven in all competitions and stunned Tunbridge Wells by beating them 3-2 at Alderbrook on 27 December.

The Crows have climbed up to seventh-place in the pecking order having banked 37 points from their 22 games.

“The season so far is behind on the target that we wanted but not far off so we have all to play for during the second half of the season,” said Hackney resident Ashanike.

“Tomorrow’s Bank Holiday game will be very fun to watch.  Both teams will be looking for a win and that will open the game up for end-to-end attacking football, which I hope we can come up on top.

“Covid has had a massive impact in our under performance.  We have not had a settled squad due to the virus but I hope this half of the season we are in safe hands.”
