We're still enjoying it but we're still under no pressure, says Fisher manager Dean Harrison
FISHER manager Dean Harrison has praised supporters for their vocal support as they go into the festive period sitting proudly at the top of the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table.
The Fish have collected 43 points from their 19 league games having thrashed Crowborough Athletic 6-0 at St Paul’s last weekend.
Harrison’s men are a point clear of their bitter rivals Beckenham Town (who have played a game more) and they travel to bottom-six side Erith Town on Saturday.
“Our supporters have been amazing again so far this season,” said Harrison, who has guided the club to eight wins on the bounce in all competitions.
“They definitely were a bit help in getting us through the Chatham game when we had a man sent-off two weeks ago and last week in the pouring rain, they sang throughout.
“At this level, I think a vocal support is massive for the lads. I couldn’t imagine now being at a club with only three men and a dog watching every week. We have a great connection with our fans.”
Since beating bottom-side Croydon, Erith Town manager Adam Woodward has seen his side go four games without a win in all competitions.
Harrison said: “A tough game awaits us on Saturday when we travel to Erith Town but then every game is tough when you’re relegation favourites!
“One game at a time is an overused cliché but that’s the only way of looking at things for us. We’re still enjoying it. We’re still under no pressure and what will be will be!"
