Fisher invite supporters for six-month progress report

Thursday 03rd December 2009
FISHER supporters have been invited to attend a general meeting later in the month as chairman Martin Eede gives an update on club affairs, writes Stephen McCartney.

The south London club, swiftly re-formed after Fisher Athletic were wound up last May, have played 15 games in the Bulmers Cider Kent League so far, winning three and drawing two with eleven points and have Holmesdale, Corinthian and Lordswood below them in the table.

Fisher are the fourth best supported club, with average gates of 111 to their base at Champion Hill in East Dulwich, and Mr Eede is inviting supporters to the ground on Thursday, 17th December for a get together to discuss club issues.

Invitations will be sent out to Trust Member mail addresses but the club does stress this is an open evening for all to attend.

The meeting will be hosted by the chairman, manager Gary Lisney, assistant manager Bryan Glover and finance director Ben Westmancott, who will answer questions from the floor.

Mr Eede will give his six-month review, whilst Lisney and Glover will speak about on-the-pitch matters with a commercial report coming from Mr Westmancott and any other business, starting at 7:30pm.

Then, supporters can meet the team from 8:30pm and can purchase new club merchandise, in a Christmas Drinks session, costing £10 each, which includes a hot and cold buffet dinner, two drinks (sparking wine/beer), Christmas Raffle (one free ticket per person).

Any profits on the night will go directly to the Fisher FC Supporters Trust.
