Fisher offer fans half-price Monday night football
Tuesday 01st February 2011
FISHER face two tough home matches this weekend and the club want as many fans to come to both Kent League games as possible, writes Stephen McCartney.
Gary Lisney’s side are third-from-bottom in the table with 14 points from 16 games and face fifth-placed VCD Athletic on Saturday and second-placed Erith Town next Monday.
The club, who groundshare Dulwich Hamlet’s Champion Hill Stadium, are offering fans a discount for Erith Town’s visit next Monday, if they attend Saturday’s game against the Vickers.
Despite their lowly league position, The Fish are the fourth best supported side in the division with average gates of 103.
But club secretary, Joe Arif, wants more fans to flock through the turnstiles.
He told www.fisherfc.co.uk: “Because two games in succession can be tough on your wallet, and as part of our commitment to offer affordable football, we are offering fans who attend Saturday’s game against VCD Athletic the chance to come along to Monday night’s clash with Erith Town for half-price – and under 16s can attend for free.”
He added: “Simply purchase a match programme on Saturday, then present it at the turnstile on Monday to get in for just £3 (or £2 OAPs, and free for accompanied U16s).
“Both VCD and Erith are riding high in the Kent League, and Fisher manager Gary Lisney is expecting much-improved performances from his team.”
The Fish, who were on the end of an embarrassing 7-1 defeat at Tunbridge Wells at the weekend, will be strengthened by new arrivals Dwayne Cowen and Ernest Simon, while Louis Sprosen has returned on a dual-registration basis from Bromley.
Admission prices:
Vs VCD Athletic: £6 (adults), £4 (OAP), £1 (under 16s)
Vs Erith Town (£3 adults*), £2 (OAP*), free for accompanied U16s*
* For spectators presenting a copy of Saturday’s VCD match programme at the turnstile, otherwise usual admission prices apply.
