Fleet plan for Hatters' visit
The Fleet will be offering Luton fans extra space allocation on advice of the Hatters’ estimates on numbers of travelling fans together with consultation with police and safety officers.
The segregation arrangements for Saturday’s game at Stonebridge Road will be very similar to those employed for the AFC Wimbledon game back in September when 2,005 fans flocked through the turnstiles to watch the Dons grab a last-gasp equaliser in a 2-2 draw.
Luton supporters will have the whole of the Swanscombe End (uncovered terrace) behind the goal and also part of the Stonebridge Road stand (terrace) at that end up to approximately 10 yards from the halfway line.
They will also have all of the seats in the Swanscombe End of the main stand.
Supporters that normally sit in this stand are requested to sit in the seats at the Plough End of that stand.
Fleet club secretary Peter Danzey appealed for understanding among home fans ahead of the lucrative fixture.
“I hope supporters are understanding of the reasons for the club doing this given the number of around 1,600 we are expecting from Luton,” he told www.ebbsfleetunited.co.uk.
“In conjunction with the local authorities we have adhered to these measures for everyone’s comfort and safety and we apologise in advance to those supporters who cannot sit or stand in their normal position for this game.”
