Free drink at Rusthall's opening League game

Monday 11th August 2008

RUSTHALL are giving supporters a free drink at their opening Vandanel Kent County League game of the season, writes Stephen McCartney.

The Rustics welcome Cray Valley to Jockey Farm on Saturday, 23rd August, with an unique offer to get supporters through the turnstiles.

The club are charging admission for first team games this season, albeit a token £2, but Richard Smith, the club’s social secretary and programme editor, explained to www.kentishfootball.co.uk this morning what they’re doing to attract a bigger gate than usual.

He said: “If supporters present their ticket at the bar they will receive a free hot drink or a bottle of beer for just 50p.

“There will be a penalty competition at half time, featuring a number of the club’s youth players.

“The club shop will be open with a number of special offers, including a great selection of non-league programmes."

Mr Smith added: “So if you are at a lose end on 23rd August, why not pop along to Jockey Farm (in Nellington Lane, Rusthall, Tunbridge Wells). You are assured a warm welcome at this friendly club.”
