Gillingham part company with Stimson

Monday 10th May 2010
GILLINGHAM manager Mark Stimson has parted company with the Priestfield club - following the Kent club’s relegation to League Two on Saturday.

Stimson met chairman Paul Scally earlier today and the former Grays Athletic and Stevenage Borough manager left by “mutual consent.”

Gillingham dropped following a depressing 3-0 defeat at already relegated Wycombe Wanderers at the weekend.

The Gills picked up only six draws on their travels in the league all season.

A statement from Mr Scally is expected later.
