Perry Skinner steps down as Greenwich Borough chairman: The time is right to step down
GREENWICH BOROUGH begin the search for a new chairman after Perry Skinner stepped down from the role tonight after five years at the helm.
The Middle Park Avenue club stated that Mr Skinner has resigned owing to family and business commitments.
“Since taking over the club it has been some of the best times that I have had in football,” Mr Skinner said in a statement that was posted on www.greenwichboroughfc.co.uk.
“I have met some great people and leant a huge amount with regards to the behind the scenes of running a football club but the time is right to step down.”
A club statement added: “Perry will remain as a director and with his fellow board members continue to have an input and support the club.
“Perry will also support whoever comes forward to take over as chairman of this illustrious club.”
The club are sitting in fifth-place in the Bostik South Division with 67 points from 35 games, five points adrift of an automatic promotion place and a point clear of a Walton Casuals’ side one place below them in the table.
